On being the best…

Too often we are caught up in a never-ending race of trying to be the best version of someone else’s vision (often, of the people we love / respect).

This life, after all, is given to us to be the best versions of ourselves, and not to be the best spouse / best child / best parent / best employee…so on and so forth.

“Best” is a perception.

What’s “best” for you may not be “the best” for me.

Hence, the safest bet here is to be the best version of yourself, and not to adhere to others’ “best” versions.

The best thing you can do is get good at being you!
