As I sit down to writing this blog, I can almost smell the invigorating aroma of a freshly brewed filter coffee, at Sangeetha Restaurant!
Picture this – A bunch of mini idlis (read mini slices of heaven) in a hot bowl of sambar, with coconut and tomato chutney on the side, a piping hot medu wada, fresh from a frying pan, right onto your plate and, how can I forget the filter coffee with its tantalizing aroma! This is what Nirvana looks like, folks!
My husband and I have been to Sangeetha quite a few times (mostly for breakfast) but it’s only now that I am getting down to writing a blog on this. Sangeetha Restaurant has this very Chennai-ish vibe about it, what’s with the filter coffee, the food, the ambience to a certain extent, the servers who speak to you in Tamil, just about everything!
I absolutely love the South-Indian breakfast here, right from the idlis to the wadas, the mini tiffin, the dosa (although I must confess that I like their idlis and wadas better), everything at Sangeetha is tasty and great on quality. My husband, who has this humungous sweet tooth, loves the pineapple sheera here, which is served as a part of the mini tiffin.

This place is awfully crowded on Friday mornings with a long waiting list, it seems as though the whole of Dubai comes to have their breakfast here on Fridays 😀 So, parking could be a bit of a trouble, however, the food is totally worth the trouble!
So, head to Sangeetha Restaurant for a yummy, satisfying breakfast and if you’re like me, who loves to have breakfast items for both lunch and dinner, then you know the place! 😉
Besides, Sangeetha does have lunch and dinner options too, which I, unfortunately, haven’t really tried yet, but I’d love to try them all someday!
Food : Really good, I’d say!
Ambience : 3/5, decent.
Service : 3/5, decent enough!
